Report: Allen Iverson To Re-Unite with Larry Brown in Charlotte

It’s been rumored all summer and even Iverson has already tweeted about it. Dime Magazine’s Aron Phillips reports that Allen Iverson has reached an agreement with the Charlotte Bobcats and the deal will become official next week.

I think a lot fans also believe this marriage makes sense. Iverson has the most success in his career with the coach that he went to the 2001 NBA Finals with.

Charlotte would add a scorer to a team that was last in the NBA in scoring, as well as popular personality still capable of selling tickets and merchandise for the cash-strapped franchise.

damm a.i is gonna be sic with bobcats. i think the bobcats shouldnt resign felton. even though this is a short term solution, its better to have be in the playoffs than never at all. the experience for this young team is everlasting. A.I. will play great with chandler and wallace. Diaw is gonna be a good complent to a.i. bell can come off the bench but finish games with a.i. augistin will learn alot from a great player like a.i. Even JR smith credits A.I. for his improvement after iverson got traded from the nuggets

I dont like this deal.How many people can imagine the stress and the torture it must be to carry a team for years upon years without a championship. Now it seems AI has returned to a team that he has to carry on his own.This is a guy who is 5th all time in scoring, 12th all time in steals, 48th all time in assists/game(only 9 players active ahead of him and he has play more seasons than most).
I think this is a case of perception trumping reality, and AI becoming a scapegoat when his teammates fail to perform. H
The pistons games i watched he did more passing than shooting, trying to fit into michael curry’s twisted system. No one is talking about ‘sheed and the others only playing when the felt like playing. ‘Sheed is now on the celtics
AI carried not only teams but the entire NBA on his back for years when sales were low. The least these selfish and delusional GMs could do is to let him retire on a good team.

  So true Temi. I will never watch Detroit play ever again. Taye Taye, Wallance, and Hamilton they set out to prove everyone wrong instead of embracing the fact that they had Iverson on their team. I will never watch those three play again….

I can’t wait I know AI wants a ring, and LB is just the coach to take the necessary steps to put together a contender out of nothing. I know he is gonna take risk and shake that team up it is going to be real interesting. I wonder what kind of player we could get for Augustine in a trade?????

i think that ai and brown reunion will b the best thing for both of em. i cant wait till this season and u got iverson and wallace playing together there gunna b sick if iverson can take em deep in the playoff the nba will jump back on ivo’s shit. i’m 25 year young, I bet 20 bucks with AI that I would score 5 or more to his 21 playing twos and threes. the Locust court is an NBA court too outside, nice smooth top! If you in Charlotte come to officer shelton park this Thursday I’ll be there. haha, I would shit myself if that happened.
