ya'll have got to go pick up the new iverson book "only the strong survive". i was readin part of it in the bookstore and it was really good, i'm going back tomorrow to get it. It talked about how three days before the wedding how him and tawanna called the wedding off and that they went to an island for their honeymoon with allen's friend Rashaun and his fiance, but ya'll really got to get this. I'll holla back later about it. It also talks about what happened this summer. Reply if anyone else has this book.

Ok I bought the book today and I read a bit of it and scanned through the rest. I didn't think the book was all that. I felt it left more questions than answers meaning it touched on certain issues but didn't go into depth.Here are two exerpts from the book that might interests you guys.

"Several days later,Allen and Tawanna escaped to a tropical locale for their honeymoon-but not alone. Que and Cindy Gaskins and Ra and Fiancee, Sherri, all joined them, at Allen's urging;the only way he could make sure he'd stay on the trip for a whole week was if he broke up how he spent his time, he explained. This was during the day, he, Que, and Ra could ride jet skis while the girls got manicures and pedicures. At night the couples could go do their couple things"

I'm sorry but what newlyweds take their friends on their honeymoon. I find that strange but whatever makes Allen happy

"Royster,who had marbeled at how responsible Iveron was-who else takes it upon his shoulders to lift up so many people?-also saw the effects of the burdens Iverson bore.'he jokes around a lot but the only time that man is happy is when he's on the basketball court or up in some pussy," the former bodyguard had once observed.

As for the July 3rd incident, the author gives me the impression that he really doesn't know what happed that night either but just drawing his own conclusions. If what he is saying is correct then why does Allen refuse to say anything about the matter. You guys have to read it to understand where I'm coming from. I still it's more to the story and no one is going to say the actual truth.

Yor're welcome. I'm sorry but from what I've read, their relationship is weird.Ok here is something else said in the book

Well I just scanned through it but it seems to be a novel about his life in a way.The author could have gone more in depth on certain issues. Oh and Daysha when you read the book the author comes up with his own conclusion of what happened on July 3rd. Basically he believes it was just a domestic altercation.JMO

The author was only hinting that ceratin people in Allen's circle didn't trust Moore. Also if you think about it, there was an article around the time of the incident where it said one of the patrons, Sue Lambiote, Allen's old tutor stated that she doesn't know how the organization is handling the money as they haven't filed for taxes or something like that and that this year was the first year they were having a board meeting to discuss it so who knows.

I haven't read the book but I watch him on games and he doesn't look happy to me. I watched the game last night against the Wizards and his eyes were red the whole time. I don't know what it is. It's basically unexplainable. I remember during the 2001 playoffs, his whole demeanor was totally different then, whether they won or lost. It makes me wonder if everything is okay at home.

Has anyone else noticed that?

I don't understand bringing friends along on a honeymoon either. That's just crazy retarded. I wonder how did Tawanna feel about that. Makes me wonder if he married her just to keep her quiet.

Well to tell you the truth last year he didn't look happy after Ra died so maybe he hasn't dealt with his death yet.Yes, I agree with you, Allen was retarded to invite other people on his honeymoon. That was wrong because I have never heard of such.Anyways, that's him.So from what you are saying from yesterday's game against the Wizards, Allen looked really upset??Hopefully, everything is alright but who knows.

I think his eyes were red last night because he was tired. They had just gotten in from New York the night before. I think him and Tawanna are tryin to work things out and he is just having some personal issues that have happened in the past. I hope and pray things r going good in that house hold. I also think they have a very understanding relationship. And becuz Iverson is a Gemini they get restless easily and need their space from their mate and AI would get bored a week w/Tawanna. I think she agreed and had no problem with taking friends, becuz he probably gets on her nerves 2. And once u have been togetha 10 years and have kids, there really is no need for a honeymoon. Hey, is anyone going to be in the DC area during the Thanksgiving Holiday? AI will be in town at Dream, the baddest nightclub on the east coast, this coming Friday night. They play the Wizards the following Saturday. I won't be able to see him at Dream because I'll be at the Maze concert.

If you plan to attend, I suggest you wrap up and get there around 11 so you can get in by midnight (a damn shame), because I know they have a game in Cleveland that Friday so they won't hardly leave there until around 10 or 10:30PM. AI probably won't get to the club until around midnight or 1AM. The club closes around 4AM so you should be good. Have your duckets ready, though, because it ain't cheap gettin' in that muthafucka!

Hey you never know. Anything is possible. Go ahead and ask that man for a dance. The worst thing that could happen is that he can't dance. (ha,ha!) Just don't follow him around like a sick puppy. To answer your question from another topic, yea, I am an AI fan still even if them rumors are true because it's life and I like him because he's an inspiration to me as a basketball player, not because of his personal life. But the reason I'd be hurt if those things are true is because I care about him, and I want him to get to heaven, and if he be doing those things all the time ( partying all the time, and fallin to temptation with other women than his wife), then obviously he's not living for God at those moments in time and those things can hurt him. And if he's never happy, that's even worse. I just want him to get on a straight path.

I have the book , and I read the whole book. I think it was a good book. I don't think anything about Allen's personal life because its just that his personal life. I can't just put that much energy into thinking about something we are never going to a full look into. I can see why J Lo made the video she did for her song Jenny on the block because people take thing and run with it. Just as long as Allen's personml life doesn't effect what he does on the court which is what I pay my money to see is his basketball game not his personal life. The major thing about the July 3rd incident was answered was that he did not and does not physical abuse his Tawanna and that he did not throw her out of the house naked and what happened when he gave that interview, the media found something else to take and run with, the statement he made about the police never mind anything else that was saind in the interview. then we gives Tawanna credit for things she has done for him in his life, someone says well first he gave his mother credit now Tawanna which one is it, well just maybe they both had something to do with his success in his life. Seems to me that Allen can't win for losing, so as long as he is happy and his family is happy and he his playing his basketball thing the right way and winning game he should not be worried about what anybody else says about him, and Apparantly he does not so some people should sto being so critical and judging of his personal life and just worry about what he does on the court.
