Exclusive Allen Iverson Pick-up Game Video Posted Wednesday, August 28, 2002 by webmaster
I came across the sixers.com website where they had a practice session at the PCOM with some of the Sixers rookies. What surprised me was that Allen (and Eric Snow) was there too! You see Allen encouraging the rookies, yelling "Make that money!" There's a also a scrimage where Allen drains a three and makes a sick pass to T-mac. It's good to see Allen actually taking part in PRACTICE (We're talking about Practice right?). Real Player: 56k | 300k.
In other Sixers news, BK signed Brian Skinner after Coleman was reported to be not ready to play till November because of knee issues.
Mutombo Traded for MacCulloch and Van Horn Posted Tuesday, August 6, 2002 by webmaster Surprise! Sixers have traded Mutombo to the Nets for Big Mac and Van Horn. So why would the Sixers trade one of the best defensive centers in the league away? I think if you watched how the Sixers got eliminated in the first round last season, you'll know why. He was slow, clumsy, and definitely showing his age, and not to mention holding $54 million over the next three years. Hopefully though, Van Horn can prove to be a scorer that the Sixers desperately need.
Here's a great article the women in AI's life. There's a mention of his father, who's still serving time, as well as his life in high school.
Iverson felony charges thrown out Posted Tuesday, July 30, 2002 by webmaster
Iverson's hearing on Monday turned out almost a slam-dunk, as the judge has dropped all but 2 minor charges on AI. Apparently, there wasn't a gun involved, and Charles Jones was motivated by money to press charges on AI, calling a lawyer before calling the police. AI sat silently sporting T-shirt with Ra's photo. His wife, however, was not in court. Here's an article on the family in court.
AI vs Bone Collector Posted Thursday, July 25, 2002 by webmaster AI showed up Monday night at Cory Erving Summer Classic apparently to check out the deal on a baller named "Bone Collector", notorious for breaking ankles. He was supposed to play against him last night, but the game has been postponed to Monday. The game's at 52nd and Parkside in West Philadelphia, admission is free.
Allen Iverson Celebrity Summer Classic Posted Monday, July 22, 2002 by webmaster
Fans cheered for Allen during the Allen Iverson Celebrity Summer Classic in Camden, N.J. Iverson was cheered as he jogged out to play shortstop in the first inning and again after he reached base on an error. He didn't talk with reporters. Judge orders a gag on the case.
Softball? Posted Thursday, July 18, 2002 by webmaster Saturday is Allen Iverson's celebrity softball game in Camden, NJ. And here's a list of all the guys who are gonna be on AI's team: E. Snow, KG, Sam Cassell, Antawn Jamison, Tim Thomas, Larry Hughes, Rasheed Wallace, Bow Wow and Ja Rule. And now, presenting "The Ultimate Allen Iverson Coverage Quiz".
Affidavit Posted Wednesday, July 17, 2002 by webmaster
"I'm either going to die or I'm going to jail and I guarantee you I'm not going to die."
Words from AI in the incident were released in the witnesses' statements today. Allen's mom, Ann Iverson, claims her son is innocent. Apparently, she went to his house at 11:30 p.m. Monday bearing videos of Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor for her son to watch. Which explains why AI looks like he had no sleep. Also, some wise words from Barkley.
Arraignment Posted Tuesday, July 16, 2002 by webmaster
Allen Iverson surrendered to police at about 5:30 am this morning and was released nearly after 12 hours in custody. After being fingerprinted, mugshot, and appearing via video in court, he was released at 4:16pm on $10,000 bail. His next court appearance is Monday where his lawyer Richard Sprague says, "The plea Mr. Iverson (will enter) is a very strong and definite 'not guilty.'" Meanwhile in his hometown, the reaction is mixed. A.I.'s Rottweiler puppy, a gift for his 27th b-day, is making mess.
1 More Day Posted Monday, July 15, 2002 by webmaster There's one more day till AI turns himself in, hopefully we'll get to hear the other side of the story. Here's an article on the death of AI's best friend, Rahsaan. With all the press coverage on the Iverson incident, has it gotten out of hand? And apparently the blood stains found in the car were "definitely" not blood stains.
Weekend Party Posted Sunday, July 14, 2002 by webmaster
While awaiting arrest, Allen Iverson hosted an all-night party at his mansion, where guests swam and played basketball in the rain. As the party was ending (at 5 am in the morning), Iverson was seen in a heated discussion with an older woman on the front step. Anyways, possible outcomes for The Answer lists his chance of going to jail at near zero. More on the celebrity king and queen.
Click Here for in depth video on the case. Near the end you'll see an interview with his wife, Tawanna.
Cops Can't Find Gun Posted Saturday, July 13, 2002 by webmaster Police where unable to find any gun in Tawanna's maroon Cadillac Escalade, but they did find broken glass, rocks and smears of blood. Sources say it could be evidence of Iverson's breaking the driver's side rear passenger window of his wife's SUV. Tawanna drove off the night of July 2 after allegedly being kicked out of the couple's Gladwyne house half-naked. Click here for more. It's a good thing Allen Iverson hired Richard A. Sprague, heralded as possibly the most feared defense attorney in the city. Sprague and Iverson will fight the charges because "any deal that results in a conviction means this complaining witness will want to sue Allen and grab some of his money," said McGlaughlin, a Philly defense lawyer. Iverson is expected to surrender to authorities Tuesday, after meeting with Sprague who is vacationing in Europe. Reebok is still sticking with A.I. Funny how the negativity publicity will probably increase sales, just like in the past.
Story of Tawanna Posted Wednesday, July 10, 2002 by webmaster
No one really knows who A.I.'s wifey, Tawanna Nicole Turner, really is, but this article: The story of his wife gives a glimpse of the strong, levelheaded and spotlight-dodging wife. Allen will be stuck at home until his lawyer returns from out-of-town Monday afternoon.

Sixers news: there's a possibly for the Sixers to sign Charles Oakley or Chris Gatling. Imagine: Coleman, Oak, Gat, making the Sixers the most feared team in the league.
Stuck at Home Posted Tuesday, July 9, 2002 by webmaster
First off, check out the photo on the right (click on for larger image). Is that Allen with Tawanna? Funny thing cause it was taken yesterday, along with several others while Iverson played basketball with friends outisde his house. Click here for a mini photo gallery. Now that all the details of the case are laid out, it's up to the police to determine whether or not to arrest Iverson. Until then, Iverson has to stay home. Here is a list of possible charges Allen and his uncle, Greg Iverson could face. Could this affect Allen's NBA career? Most likely not, but the NBA does not tolerate felonies. GM Billy King and Coach Larry Brown addressed the media today on the case, here is the transcript. Like they say, A.I.'s innocent until proven guilty.

Story unfolds... Posted Monday, July 8, 2002 by webmaster
More revealing information have surfaced and now the story holds more truth: a marital fight stretching over 2 days. Iverson's wife, Tawanna had checked into Conshohocken Marriott Residence Inn two days earlier and at about 3 a.m. on July 3rd went to his cousin's apartment to look for them, carrying a gun. For more on this, read: Police continue Iverson probe. The transcript of the 911 call has surfaced. Charles Jones, Bowman's roommate was confronted by Iverson at 3:00am and he called the police 10 hours later accusing Iverson. He mentions that Iverson had "put [his wife] out the house naked; [it was] like the third time he did it." More to be uncovered soon.
Bad Newz Posted Sunday, July 7, 2002 by webmaster
The incident has blown up quickly for Allen Iverson. Police will be seeking a warrant on the arrest of Allen Iverson. According to rumours (just rumours), Allen had been fighting with his wife, Tawanna, and kicked her out of the house. Tawanna and Iverson's cousin, Shaun Bowman, left together. Later that night, Iverson and a friend went to Bowman's apartment to look for them. You can read a version of the account in this article: Another Foul on Allen?. Here's a cynic on Allen Iverson: With Allen, it's always something.

Iverson accused of home invasion Posted Friday, July 5, 2002 by webmaster
Apparently, there's been a report that Allen Iverson forced his way into a West Philadelphia apartment early Wednesday and threatened two men inside. Citing unidentified sources, it reported that the two men said Iverson, armed with a gun, and another man went to the apartment looking for Iverson's wife and cousin. It's all speculation at this point. I'll keep you guys updated on any more info.
