Iverson Deal Done – Will Join Memphis Grizzlies

The wait is finally over. Allen Iverson has committed to signing with the Memphis Grizzlies. 5 hours ago he tweeted:

The build up had fans at the edge of their seats. But finally we can rest assured that AI will be back in the NBA next season.

Allen Iverson has agreed to terms with the Memphis Grizzlies and will sign a one-year deal by week’s end, a league source told Yahoo! Sports on Wednesday.

He’s expected to sign a $3.5 million contract, with incentives to make more based on performance.

The Grizzlies expect to hold a news conference for Iverson before he departs for Europe on a trip next week.

Hell yeah it is about time. I am sad that he did not come to charlotte, I guess I am a forced Memphis fan myself. I have to admitt that the lineup is much better in Memphis than in Charlotte so in the end I am hapy for AI. All the best big dawg….

  Allen grew his hair back because he felt like not having his number or his hair he had changed the wrong things about himself. He told me his self that he needed his hair and his number. Bubbachuck is in real good shape right now and he said he is gone crush this year just because they call him old and he got alot on his mind and you will see it in his game.

Congrats AI, been following, cheering and praying for you forever… We used to have NBA here, in Vancouver Canada, our team was the Vancouver Grizzlies who moved to Memphis… but I’ll gladly be a Memphis fan this season, just as I was a Piston, Nugget and 76′er fan over the years. Seriously Allen, I would love to see you with an NBA ring. I hate to see good guy go sour, but I saw “Frustration grows for Grizzlies, Iverson today.” Hey, I am a big fan of you, and I still believe you can still do it. Here is my advice, think positively. I can give you a million positive thing about you being on the bench so you could get the ring. This is a big chance for you to target that ring, with a “not so good” team. Try that, and good luck. Just for writing this, I want a free ticket to the game 7 of NBA final that you will be playing in it.
