021-china Allen Iverson has found his scoring touch again, showcasing to the Chinese fans in the US Legends’ 126-109 victory over the Shanxi Brave Dragons on Wednesday. It is also the most points he had throughout the exhibition team’s two-week China tour.

However, Iverson denied a widely hyped speculation that he is in talks with some CBA clubs for a contract this summer, saying he hasn’t been approached by any of them.

Pundits and some CBA head coaches hinted that Iverson is not physically ready for pro games. But he insisted he remains a superstar, at least “in the CBA”.

People shouldn’t call him a loser, being on the right team at the right time is lots of time the difference for a great player winning a title. It just never happened for him. I remember when the Sixers went to the finals against the Lakers, Sixers didn’t have a lot of talent but his individual ability drove that team to the finals. They got overpowered by Shaq who, in his prime, was simply a force of nature. If you switched Kobe for Iverson in that series guarantee AI would be wearing some hardware. He never had the luxury of having the kind of big man talent around him that Kobe has had. Too bad his career got cut short but he was a small guard and it’s always tough for them when they lose a step or two.
