Greek Team Olympiakos after Allen Iverson

The Olympiakos rumour is spreading like wildfire and the comments are flooding in. Lots of Greek fans have made their pleas for Allen Iverson to join their beloved club in Athens. In a single day, the Poll option for Olympiakos has already reached 2nd place with 17% of votes, second only to Miami Heat (30%).

More reports on this have indicated the following details

Olympiakos, the Greek club that continues to go after NBA free agents, is now going after Allen Iverson; offering the 6-0 guard a $10 million contract over two years.

The $10 million dollar offer is close to the numbers that Iverson is seeking in free agency, but is Iverson willing to head overseas, play in a completely different basketball culture with great expectations?

The Athens-based Olympiakos Piraeus is the team that made waves by signing away Josh Childress from the Atlanta Hawks last season.

you must be crazy if u don’t choose olympiakos! NBA is bullshit. Its really boring to watch. No one plays defense except bruce bowen. And your crowd in states is like the crowd in tennis games. go to greece and you will see what basketball is

Allen, I am a great fan of yours and I am crazy about your game! Please don’t insist on having to play 1st string before you will accept an offer from a nba team. You are so good that once you go in there and prove that you are a team player and continue to score those points, you will be right back on the first string in a year! Go get them Allen.
