Allen Iverson takes indefinite leave to care for sick daughter

Allen Iverson is leaving the team indefinitely to care for his sick daughter. The is a delicate situation, but Allen Iverson is doing the right thing. At the end of the day, family is family, and nothing is bigger than family, not even the game.

He will miss the remaining three games of the current road trip. The Sixers visit the Golden State Warriors tonight before heading to Phoenix to face the Suns tomorrow and to Los Angeles to play the Lakers on Friday. The Sixers’ next home game is March 1 vs. the Orlando Magic.

“At this time, we feel that is in the best interest of the Sixers, Allen and his family that he be allowed to deal with a very serious issue that is far greater than the game of basketball,” said team president and general manager Ed Stefanski.

Iverson is where he feels he needs to be – with his family.

It’s none of my business, but I feel sorry for you and you family. I’m praying for you daughter to get well. When, Doctors can’t solve an illness, the next step is find a good spiritualist. You have nothing to loose, it’s worth a try.
One time, I was seriously ill and had gone down to skin and bone. The Doctors were puzzled and didn’t know what was causing my illness. I was released from the hospital with a fever of 103 tempature. A friend took me to a spiritualist and she solved my illness. that was about twenty years ago. Give it a try.

Dearest Allen & family,

My thoughts and prayers are with your precious daughter. I have 4 children of my own and I cannot imagine the pain of having one of them become seriously ill. I am a long time fan and will be praying for all of you. Best of luck!

Mr. & Mrs. Iverson, May God be with you during this time of tremendous trial in your lives. May God Bless and Heal your daughter as well. However, with all do respect to the situation in your lives I want to recommend that you consider a name change for your daughter. Messiah is a title that has been reserved for the savior of the world and although it may sound strange that someone would consider saying to you consider changing your daughter’s name, you must think of the phrase “What’s in a Name”.

I can’t imagine what it is like to see a child w/an illnes that you can’t fix or take the pain for your baby. ALL the PRAYERS are with you and your family at this time. First of all, im sorry about ur daughter and hope she gets better soon. I have been ur fan for as long as i can remember. I’m so glad i went to the bulls game Feb 20th. That was my first time i seen you live and it was awesome. I’ll never forget that day I just hope it wasnt ur last game of ur career and you come back next year and try one more time. If you don’t i think everybody will understand and that it was great ride. I appreciate all the memories u gave me. Again i hope ur daughter gets better.

Wat up AI. Im a concerned admirer. I don’t know too much about your daughter’s illness, but I hope she is well, or getting better. I want to inform you about holistic healing. Depending on the illness alot times these so called MDs can’t actually pin point the problem.
