Allen Iverson needs more than love
by Dal on Mar.11, 2010, under News
Support from all corners of the world has been pouring in for Allen Iverson. As Scoop Jackson wrote on ESPN, Allen Iverson just needs a place to land. The unthinkable incidents seem to all happen at once for Iverson – his daughter gets seriously ill, the Sixers announce his departure, his wife files for divorce, Stephen A Smith writes about his alcohol and gambling problems…
Larry Brown has spoken out, and he believes that Allen Iverson will return.
Maybe he’ll never play again at the level I saw him play at, but I think he can still help somebody,” Brown said. Even if Iverson does seek to return, the question remains whether a team is willing to take him on.Mar. 11 – 8:07 am et. Source: Charlotte Observer
According to one source, guys around the league are pissed at Steven A. Smith right now for his most recent column on Allen Iverson.
Guys around the league are pissed at Stephen A. Smith right now for his most recent column on Allen Iverson, the one in which he claimed Allen is going to drink and/or gamble his life away. One of my NBA friends in Philly says a bunch of Sixers can’t wait for Stephen A. to show up in their locker room so they can have words with him.

I have followed Iverson before he made it to the NBA and I find it funny how many people can find ways to still put this man down after seeing how hard he had to fight to get where he is. We all fall down in order to remember who to place your faith in and it is not man. Someone please help Allen to remember we are challenged in order to be blessed even more in life, place your fears in God and allow him to do the rest. He has never failed anyone who believes.

I’m happy to see that the players in the league are starting to catch on to Stephen A. Smith’s motives. Iverson is already having a difficult time dealing with his daughter’s illness (and now pending divorce). But Stephen A. spreading gossip about a supposed drinking/gambling problem is foul. A.I. is pound for pound the greatest player of all-time. There’s not enough gossip in the world that’ll make me change my opinion on that.

Stephen A. Smith has reached his professional and personal summit, and he’ll most likely be and do just like the former and great sports analyst, but without the “Great” being mentioned or thought of when his name is mentioned.
For you Stephen, the “A” for your middle name should be replaced with an “F”. The “F” is antonym for “FOUL” to bash someone like Allen Iverson aka AI who has assisted you in becoming who you are today is a simply ‘PITIFUL”, and please don’t say it was your momma or daddy and please do not attempted to say it was the Lord when you don’t even know his name. I really do not know why ESPN along with all other news and magazine companies put up with your egotistical arrogant which is not mistaken as buoyancy.

A.I. I want you to hang in there. You will always be my favorite player, and I live in LA, Kobe territory.
Keep your head up and know that GOD is with you always. As for as Steven A. Smith, the players around the league especially the ‘brothers’ shouldn’t speak to him anymore. Don’t give him anymore inside scoops let him get his sources else where. Steven A. would throw his own mother under the bus just to get a story to please his editors.

I have been following A.I. for the past ten years and have every jersey. A.I. is my role model now and alway’s. I live my life like he plays basketball. Get knocked down and you get back up again. No matter what you do your best. In my world he is the best basketball play. I’m feeling robbed not seeing him play. He has alway’s given me chills watching him play and I have turned down dates just to watch him play. My heart won’t be happy again until we see the ANSWER play again. And if he see’s this…my prayers are with you. You are special and have a God given talent. Please don’t throw that away. We need you!!!

My prayers go out to Allen and his entire family. To the one that says he is a demon. Watch your words the demon spirit may visit your family one day. He is still a human in need of God’s Love. If not by the grace of God there go I.

Dear A.I.
I hope that you’re okay and your daughter is okay as well. I hope that will get well soon. You’ve been an inspiration and a great role model to me not only when i play basketball and i think it’s time for me to repay you by the simple things i can do. I’ll continue to support you. It doesn’t matter what people say. Just keep up with what you’re doing. Don’t give up. I know that you’re a strong person and you’re going to continue being one, right ? I hope to see you soon in NBA. We love you.
